(WASHINGTON) — The Tampa woman at the center of the scandal that ended David Petraeus’s tenure at the CIA reportedly received one of the top civilian honors the military can bestow.
It’s yet another example of how close Jill Kelley was to the top brass. The Tampa Tribune reports David Petraeus put her up for the Joint Staff’s second highest civilian honor, a commendation for “fostering a relationship that brought the military and the citizens of Florida closer together.”
Hundreds of emails between the Tampa socialite and General John Allen are still under review.
