Police Search for Missing Band Teacher

William Algeo WeedRIGBY — Police are seeking the public’s help as they search for Rigby High School’s band director, who went missing Friday evening.

According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Department, William (Bill) Algeo Weed, was last seen around 11 p.m. at Rigby High School after returning from a concert at Idaho State University. He was reported missing Saturday morning.

Police said Weed might have been seen at a gas station in Rigby on Friday and at the Ammon Wal-Mart Saturday morning. Officers believe Weed may have gone to Salt Lake City or to Virginia.

According to the Upper Valley Journal, a “Facebook post addressed to band students, parents, family and friends, Bobbi Weed, his wife, stated that William Weed has been struggling in his personal life and requested that people pray for his safe return.”

Weed is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes and glasses.
