Lewis surprised his teammates and spoke with coach John Harbaugh about how much he is looking forward to his return.  He was unclear about exactly when that return would be.

The Ravens placed Lewis on injured reserve with designation to return, meaning if the triceps heal in time, he would be eligible to return December 12th and help the Ravens if they make the postseason.  For someone with a torn triceps, the earliest likely return for Lewis would be the Super Bowl if the Ravens make it that far.

If Lewis decides to return for an 18th NFL season, he will be playing at age 38.  Before season Lewis was not sure about playing past the age of 37.

In the meantime, Ravens fans hope for a healthy recovery for Lewis and hope to see #52 back on the field someday soon.
