Evans was fined for picking up his second flopping violation of the season. He picked up the second violation during the Nets’ loss to the Lakers Tuesday night, in a play involving the Lakers Metta World Peace.

Although Evans has become the first to receive this fine, it is not much of a surprise.

Evans was one of the main players featured in the NBA’s flopping demonstration video that was shown to players this preseason.

If Evans is fined again it would result in a $10,000 fine. A fourth violation would be a $15,000 fine, a fifth $30,000 and six or more could lead to a suspension.
