Source: Gronkowski Out With Broken Arm
Published at(FOXBOUROUGH, Mass.) — The New England Patriots won their game agains the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but may have suffered a great loss.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski broke his right forearm during the team’s last extra point in the 59-24 win, according to an ESPN source.
He finished with seven catches and two touchdowns in the game.
It has been speculated that he might miss four to six weeks with the injury, but the actual timetable is not known. “He left the game with an arm injury,” Patriots spokesman Stacey James said. “There was no update to that.”
Gronkowski has caught 53 passes for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns for the division-leading Patriots this season.
“When anyone, let alone Rob, goes down, that’s part of the business. One play, you never know, unfortunately it could happen,” tight end Michael Hoomanawanui said.
The Patriots have also dealt with an ankle injury to their other pass-catching tight end Aaron Hernandez, but he may return soon.
