Steve Nash Has Fractured Fibula
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash will miss at least a week with a small non-displaced fracture in the head of his fibula.
Nash was injured Wednesday, in the Lakers game with the Portland Trail Blazers, when he collided with Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard.
Lakers’ head coach Mike Brown was originally hoping Nash could have played in Friday nights’ loss to the Clippers, but Saturday an MRI revealed the fracture.
Steve Blake will likely start at point guard while Nash is out.
Nash was averaging 4.5 points, four assists and three rebounds a game before the injury.
The Lakers next play Sunday night versus the Detroit Pistons.
