Study: More Teens Using Steroids to Bulk Up

BananaStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — New research shows steroid use may be rising, even among students as young as 14 years old.
A study of middle and high school students in Minnesota found that about 5 percent say they used the performance-enhancing drugs to bulk up.
Steroid use was equally common in those who played sports and those who didn’t.
Researchers at the University of Minnesota say the kids are likely influenced by the more muscular ideal for men and women now promoted in the media.
