Suh Will Not Face Suspension
Published at(NEW YORK) — Another vicious hit, but not another suspension for Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said while Suh will not miss games for his kick to Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub’s groin, the incident will be reviewed for a possible fine.
The incident took place during the Texan’s Thanksgiving Day victory over the Lions, and Suh didn’t want to talk about it after the game but still maintained his innocence. “I really don’t have anything to say about that play or that person,” he said.
On Monday, Schaub had harsh words for Suh. “The stuff that he stands for and the type of player he is, that’s not Houston Texan-worthy,” Schaub said. “That’s not what we’re about as a football team, as individuals, collectively as a group, we’re not that type of person.”
Suh was suspended two weeks after last year’s Thanksgiving game when he stepped on the arm of Green Bay Packers lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith.
