(AMMON) – A SWAT team was called to the Ammon Walmart Friday night after a woman in a car threatened suicide.

Officials say the incident happened in the parking lot shortly before 10 p.m. The woman reportedly called a family member and threatened to shoot herself. Law enforcement personnel surrounded the vehicle while crews blocked all entrances to the parking lot. The woman dropped the gun and surrendered after about a half hour of negotiation.

Idaho’s official suicide prevention hotline goes into operation today after a six-year hiatus.
