(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — (13) Florida State (11-2) defeated Georgia Tech (6-7) on Saturday, 21-15 to capture their first Atlantic Coast Conference championship since 2005.
Sophomore running back James Wilder Jr. provided the offense for the Seminoles rushing for 69 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Teammate, sophomore tail back Devonta Freeman contributed, running for 59 yards and a score on 13 carries.
With the victory, Florida State has punched their ticket to the Orange Bowl.
