(IDAHO FALLS) – A scam claiming to offer free airline tickets is targeting eastern Idaho.

Local News 8 reports a letter or postcard claiming to be from the fictional “US Airlines” offers would-be victims free airfare to any location in the continental United States.

The letters have no return address, but leave an 800-number to claim the prize, which requires a credit card number. Experts urge area residents to be on the lookout for scams, especially during the holidays.
