(SAN FRANCISCO) — Free agent outfielder Andres Torres is returning to the San Francisco Giants after spending last season with the New York Mets. Both sides agreed to a one-year contract Thursday, pending Torres passing a physical. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 34-year-old Torres played for the Giants from 2009-11. He was dealt before the beginning of last season to the Mets for outfielder Angel Pagan.
In eight big league seasons, Torres is batting .241 with 30 home runs and 153 RBIs.
