Christopher Trotman/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — After missing two games with a sprained ankle, Carmelo Anthony wasn’t rusty.  The Knicks forward returned to the court Wednesday night, scoring 31 points while helping lead the Knicks to a 100-86 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.

“I wasn’t expecting to comeback like I did today,” Anthony said. “Obviously my ankle felt pretty good for the most part. Just wanted to comeback and continue where I left off at.”

The Knicks (19-6) also received 16 points and 12 rebounds from Tyson Chandler as the team improves its home record to 11-1 for the season.

The Nets (13-12) have now lost eight of their last 10 games. Joe Johnson led the team with 17 points in the loss.

The Knicks hold a 2-1 advantage in the new Manhattan versus Brooklyn cross-borough series.
