Arizona State Crushes Navy 62-28
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — Taylor Kelly threw four touchdown passes while running for a fifth to lead Arizona State to its first bowl game win in seven years, a 62-28 thrashing of Navy in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
Running back Marion Grice ran for 159 yards and two touchdowns for the Sun Devils (8-5), and was named offensive MVP. Grice played with a heavy heart after his brother was murdered in Houston just last week.
Receiver Rashad Ross caught four passes for 139 yards and three scores in a game where Arizona State scored 21 points in the first quarter and never looked back.
Kelly ended the season completing a school-record 67.1 percent of his passes.
Senior running back Gee Gee Greene was the lone brightspot for Navy, rushing for 111 yards and returning a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.
