(POCATELLO) – Local police are warning residents about online job postings that often turn out to be scams.

Pocatello Police issued a warning Tuesday after they received several complaints about high-salaried jobs on Craigslist that turned out to be fraudulent. They say the scams claim to allow people to work from home and could leave them vulnerable to identity theft.

They recommend thoroughly researching job listings and making calls to verify claims featured in advertisements.
