Ball Leads Wisconsin To Third Straight Big Ten Championship

SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1354462497342Gregory Shamus/Getty Images(INDIANAPOLIS) — Badgers senior running back Montee Ball rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns as Wisconsin (8-5) pounded No. 14 Nebraska (10-3) Saturday, 70-31 to capture their third consecutive Big Ten championship.

It was s game to remember for the 21-year-old Ball as he broke the Football Bowl Subdivision career rushing touchdowns record (76), tied the FBS record for most games with two or more scores (25) and topped the 5,000 career rushing mark.

The Badgers also received contribution from freshman running back Melvin Gordon, who rushed for 216 yards and one touchdown on nine carries.

With the victory, Wisconsin will be appearing in their third straight Rose Bowl.
