The 30-year-old Gould strained his left calf during warm-ups before Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He converted two extra points in the contest, but punter Adam Podlesh handled the kickoffs.

Gould converted 21 of 25 field goals this season and is ranked fourth all-time in the NFL in field goal percentage at 85.6 percent.

The 39-year-old Mare is a 15-year veteran, having last played for the Carolina Panthers in 2011.
