Bengals Blow Away Eagles, 34-13

Getty Bengals Defense?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1355479754740Elsa/Getty Images(PHILADELPHIA) — The Cincinnati Bengals forced five Philadelphia Eagles turnovers, including three on three consecutive possessions, as the Bengals blew away the Eagles (4-10), 34-13 Thursday night.

The Bengals, trailed 13-10 at with 1:11 left in the third quarter but proceeded to score 24 points in 3 minutes, 23 seconds, giving them the lead for good.

“We just knew in this game that if we just stayed the course good things were going to happen,” Bengals quarterback Dalton said when referring to the teams scoring binge. “That’s something that definitely happened. It was a quick turn-around. We were scoring and it was just happening quick.”

With the win, the Bengals improve to 8-6 for the season. The Bengals control their own destiny when it comes to making the playoffs.

“It’s what you want to have,” Dalton said. “In December you want to have a chance to make the playoffs, and you want to be in control of that.”

The Bengals next play Dec. 23, against AFC North rival Pittsburgh.
