Bus Crash on I-84 Near Pendleton, Oregon Leaves 5 Dead, 20 Injured

John Foxx/Thinkstock(PENDLETON, Ore.) — A bus crash on Interstate 84 near Pendleton, Oregon has left five people dead and at least 20 people injured, The Oregonian reports.

The charter bus crashed through a guardrail and tumbled almost 200 feet down an embankment after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on the icy road near milepost 227. About 40 people were on the bus, the paper says.

Police have not yet released information regarding the bus company or the bus’s departure or destination points, according to The Oregonian.
