Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s father said the team has quit, but his son disagrees.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr. is a sportwritter and took to twitter to bash the team’s effort and latest loss. The team started out 4-0, but have proceeded to lose nine straight games. Fitzgerald felt the need to defend his team.

“We’re professionals. That will never happen,” Fitzgerald said. “We’re going to continue to play. We’re going to continue to practice. We’re going to continue to prepare every week like we would if we had won nine games in a row. That’s not going to change. We’re not going to quit.”

Since Kurt Warner retired form the NFL following the 2009 season, the Cardinals have been unable to solidify the quarterback position. The team has started six quarterbacks since Warner retired, and none have been good enough to hold down the job.

Fitzgerald is considered one of, if not the best wide receiver in the NFL. His numbers have suffered though due to the quarterback situation.
