Firefighters Caution Residents About Dry Christmas Trees

(IDAHO FALLS) – If you have a natural Christmas tree, it might be time to take it down.

Local News 8 reports firefighters respond to an estimated 230 Christmas tree fires annually across the nation.

Blackfoot fire officials say dry trees with lights left on or close to a heat source could be a ticking time bomb.

Pocatello residents can drop off old trees at City Hall through Jan. 7.

Idaho Falls residents can leave trees at Reinhart Park.
