Giants Re-Sign Outfielder Angel Pagan
Published at(SAN FRANCISCO) — One of the key members of the San Francisco Giants World Series run in 2012 is coming back as the team has re-signed center fielder Angel Pagan to a four-year deal worth $40 million.
Keeping Pagan in a Giants uniform was a main priority for the team this offseason as he was a major contributor in the team’s second World Series title in three years. The team has also re-signed reliever Jeremy Afeldt and will look to re-sign second baseman Marco Scutaro.
In his first season with the Giants, Pagan played arguably his best season of his seven-year career. He set career highs in games played, hits, runs, doubles, triples, and walks out of the leadoff spot.
Pagan was a highly sought after free agent this winter before ultimately coming back to the Giants.
