(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — The Idaho Falls Police Department is issuing a reminder to all residents about the importance of adhering to crime prevention tips when it comes to vehicle burglaries. This time of year the police department sees a spike in the number of reported vehicle burglaries. In the last 30 days, the police department responded to 28 incidents involving vehicle burglaries. In some incidents, there were multiple vehicles burglarized.
Various Idaho Falls neighborhoods have had reports of vehicles being entered into and items, including laptop computers and iPods, being taken. In many cases, vehicle doors were left unlocked. Residents are asked to be diligent in protecting themselves from becoming victims of vehicle burglaries.
