Man Gets 25 Years in Jail for Shooting Friend

(ST. ANTHONY) – A Madison County man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Tuesday after shooting his friend in the leg with a shotgun.

Jerrod Hillman, 34, led police on a four-day manhunt in Island Park earlier this year and had to be tased before being arrested. Police had already been looking for Hillman at the time for noncompliance as a registered sex offender.

Hillman’s victim has gone through six surgeries and faces at least two more to repair his leg.
