Earlier this offseason, the Marlins traded high-priced players like Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, and Emilio Bonafacio to the Blue Jays. Reyes, Buehlre, and Bonafacio played just one season in Miami before being traded to Toronto in a salary dump. Now Nolasco wants out.

“Ricky and I have spoken a lot since the end of the season,” Nolasco’s agent Matt Sosnick told ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick. “Just watching the way the offseson has transpired for the Marlins and the moves they’ve made, he and I agree that he probably be better served playing somewhere else. If he had his druthers, he would pitch for someone other than the Marlins in 2013 and beyond.”

Nolasco has spent his entire seven-year career with the Marlins. This past season, he went 12-13 with a 4.48 ERA.
