Michael Jackson’s Glove Fetches $199,000 at Auction

122012 MJGloveandAuthentication?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1356030882681Nate D. Sanders Auctions(LOS ANGELES) — A Swarovski crystal-encrusted glove that Michael Jackson wore at the 1984 American Music Awards has sold at auction for $199,069.

That’s one of the highest prices fetched for one of the late entertainer’s gloves, according to Nate D. Sanders auction house, which organized the bidding.  What makes the glove particularly special is that it’s black, unlike the trademark white ones that Michael typically wore during his performances and public appearances.

Another bit of Michael memorabilia, the red leather “Beat It,” jacket that he wore on his 1984 Thriller tour, also sold at auction.  The jacket, which was signed and given by M.J. to the son of then-Epic Records President Ron Alexenburg, sold for $84,422.
