On December 18, 2012, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a multiple vehicle injury crash on US 91 at milepost 122, south of Idaho Falls.

Rebecka Tolliver, 31, of Shelley, was travelling south in a 2001 GMC Sierra pickup. Tolliver failed to maintain her lane of travel and crossed over the center turn lane, colliding with a 2000 Ford Taurus travelling north being driven by Ty Pope, 32, of Idaho Falls. Both Tolliver and Pope were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kent Carlson, 71, of Shelley, in a 2006 Chrysler 300 and Irinda Passino, 33, of Shelley, in a 2003 Toyota Prius, were also travelling north when Carlson’s vehicle became involved with the crash. Passino swerved to avoid the crash, and went off the right shoulder of the roadway. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and neither driver was transported.

All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
