Tom Brady had four touchdown passes and the Patriots throttled the Houston Texans 42-14 at Gillette Stadium on Monday Night Football.

New England (10-4) has won seven straight games and sit a game behind Houston (11-2) for the AFC’s best record.

“These guys feel really good about the way they played tonight and they should,” coach Bill Belichick said.

Brady threw two short touchdowns to tight end Aaron Hernandez in the first half, and two long scores to Brandon Lloyd and Donte Stallworth, who just joined the team this week.

The Texans lost their first road game of the year, while quarterback Matt Schaub did not throw a touchdown pass to go along with 232 yards.
