The Ravens (9-4) had an eight-point lead late in regulation when Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III sprained his right knee after a 13-yard run.  He tried to play through the pain but it was too much for him to continue.

Backup Kirk Cousins came in for Griffin and flourished, hitting Pierre Garcon for an 11-yard score with 29 seconds remaining before running in the 2-point conversion to tie the game at 28.

After Baltimore punted to start overtime, Richard Crawford returned a punt 64 yards to set up Forbath’s game-winning 34-yarder.

The Redskins (7-6) won their fourth straight and continue to give the Giants and Cowboys a run for their money in the NFC East race.

Baltimore dropped its second straight game and failed to secure a playoff spot in the AFC.  Ray Rice had 20 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown.
