(POCATELLO) – The Southeastern Idaho Public Health District said kids living in this part of the state are more likely than any other region to be up-to-date on their immunizations.
The eight-country district has an average of 77 percent for proper vaccinations, compared to 66 percent statewide. Local News 8 reports only 2.6 percent of kids in the district are going completely non vaccinated, an amount significantly lower than the rest of the state.
Officials said it’s a sign that health care and education in the area are moving in a positive direction.
