Otto Greule Jr/Getty Images(SEATTLE) —  The Seattle Seahawks have punched their ticket to the 2012 postseason by demolishing the San Francisco 49ers 42-13 on Sunday night.

Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson threw a career-high four touchdowns for the Seahawks (10-5), who have clinched at least a wild-card spot.

Marshawn Lynch scored two first-quarter touchdowns and cornerback Richard Sherman returned a blocked field goal 90 yards for a score.

Homefield advantage proved to be crucial once again as the Seahawks improved to 7-0 at home in 2012.

San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 19 passes for 244 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

The 49ers (10-4-1) can still win the NFC West by beating the Arizona Cardinals at home in week 17.

The Seahawks play the St. Louis Rams in their regular season finale, and could clinch the division with a win combined with a 49ers loss.
