Skyline Math Teacher Honored By President Obama

(IDAHO FALLS) – A Skyline High School math teacher got a personal phone call from President Barack Obama last week.

Julie Nawrocki, along with teachers from across the country, will develop a math curriculum that will be used next year in 38 states.

Local News 8 reports Nawrocki will travel to Park City, Utah, over the summer for training and collaboration.

She says she’s thrilled to be part of a presidential committee designed to get kids excited about math and science.
