(NEW YORK) — San Francisco 49ers receiver Mario Manningham has tore both his ACL and PCL in his left knee, according to sources of ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, and will miss the remainder of the season.
Manningham was injured in the third quarter of Niners’ game versus the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night, when Seattle linebacker Leroy Hill tackled Manningham low, forcing him to fumble.
Manningham, who is in his first season with San Francisco, has caught 42 passes for 449 yards and a touchdown this season.
If San Francisco can beat the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers lose to the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, the Niners will get a first-round bye in the NFC playoffs.
