Taylorview Junior High Evacuated After Bomb Threat
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — A bomb threat forced the evacuation of Taylorview Junior High School in Idaho Falls Tuesday morning. A school spokesperson said classes were dismissed and children were moved to an LDS church near the school. Every student, including those who normally walk to school, was bussed home. Parents were permitted to pick their children up at the church provided they had a photo-ID before any student was released. The District would rather parents meet their children at home.
Shortly before 8am Tuesday someone called in a bomb-threat to the school, so the school took precautions in light of recent events nationally. Idaho Falls Police officers and K-9 units were dispatched to sweep the building. The time consuming process took around two hours. No device was found in the school.
