(JACKSON, Wyo.) – Commissioners in Teton County, Wyo., and the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance are voicing concerns about a potential merger between the Caribou-Targhee and Bridger-Teton national forests.
The merger could save taxpayers millions of dollars, but opponents don’t like the idea of moving the supervisor’s office away from Jackson.
Federal officials are expected to make a decision on the merger by the end of January.
