Texas Guard Myck Kabongo Suspended for the Season
Published at(NEW YORK) — The NCAA has decided to suspended University of Texas guard Myck Kabongo for the remainder of the season, according to sources.
Kabongo has been sitting out games while the NCAA investigates whether or not he retained an agent or if he forthcoming about a workout in Cleveland that he allegedly paid for after his freshman season. Kabongo got in rouble for attending the workout .
Kabongo thought about declaring for the NBA draft but decided against it.
The NCAA ruled that Kabongo received improper benefits after working out with Tristan Thompson, who now plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also worked out with trainer Jerry Powell. Powell is connected to Rich Paul, an agent for Miami Heat star LeBron James.
Kabongo started 34 games last season but hasn’t played in 2012-2013.
