(LOGAN, UT.)  —  Athletics officials from BYU and Utah State have determined that Wednesday night’s men’s basketball game between the two universities will be postponed due to the serious medical condition of USU student-athlete Danny Berger that occurred during practice on Tuesday.    The game was originally schedule for tonight at 7 p.m. in Provo and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Aggie junior forward Danny Berger apparently stopped breathing, and collapsed at the end of Tuesday’s practice.  He was tended to on the court by the USU Athletic Training staff, CPR was performed and the AED (automated external defibrillator) was used on him until ambulance personnel arrived. Berger is currently in stable, but critical condition at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

Tests and evaluations are ongoing, and further information will be released when available.
