(TUCSON, Ariz.) — The Arizona Wildcats are still undefeated, but it wasn’t easy.
With the score tied at 80, and seconds to go in the game, Colorado guard Sabatino Chen banked in a three-pointer at the end of regulation. After a review, the officials waived off the shot saying the ball came off Chen’s hand a fraction to late. That sent the game into overtime where the Wildcats dominated and defeated Colorado, 92-83.
The game was Colorado’s to lose. The Buffaloes held the lead from the 16:28 mark in the first half, all the way until Mark Lyons free throw with 10 seconds left in regulation.
Arizona (13-0) trailed by 10 points with under two minutes to play, but Lyons scored 14 of his game high 24 points after that, leading Zona to victory.
Colorado (10-3) received 18 points and five assists from sophomore guard Askia Booker in the loss.
