The 2012/2013 edition of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on Monday night drew an audience of 13.3 million viewers, according to Deadline.com.  That’s the highest total for the special since 2000.

It was the first New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special without Clark since his death last April.  It featured performances by Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and PSY in New York’s Times Square, plus Justin Bieber and others on the West Coast.

A two-hour tribute to Clark that aired prior to New Year’s Rockin’ Eve was seen by 9.4 million people.

On NBC, New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly attracted 3.8 million viewers for its primetime segment.
