An Increased Avalanche Danger in the Back-country
Published at | Updated at(ISLAND PARK, ID) — Officials from the Caribou-Targhee National Forest are warning residents and travelers about avalanche dangers in the back-country. Avalanche warnings are in effect in the northern areas of Island Park and West Yellowstone. Danger remains low to moderate in the east and southern areas of Island Park. They urge those visiting the back-country to notify and friends and family about when and where they’ll be traveling and to carry an avalanche beacon if possible.
