(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —   Bonneville County Sheriff Paul Wilde is part of a growing list of law enforcement officials around the country voicing their disapproval for President Obama’s new gun control laws. Wilde says that addressing mental health issues, not tightening restrictions on certain types of firearms, will reduce gun violence. Wilde says every recent gun crime case he’s handled has involved someone dealing with a mental illness. Wilde’s statements come only a day after Madison County Sheriff Roy Klingler said the measures were “out of control.”
