Bradley Cooper Interested in Playing Lance Armstrong on Big Screen
Published at(LONDON) — It was reported last week that J.J. Abrams is developing a movie about Lance Armstrong. Abrams may want to consider Bradley Cooper for the lead role.
In an interview with the BBC, the Oscar-nominated actor expresses interest in playing the disgraced cyclist on the big screen.
He says, “I remember Matt Damon was going to do his autobiography at one point years ago. I remember thinking, that would be a great character, I’d love to play that character. I would love to do something, I think he’s pretty fascinating.”
Cooper says he has not been approached about the role.
Armstrong admitted to Oprah Winfrey last week that he won his Tour de France titles while using performance-enhancing drugs. The titles were stripped from him last fall.
