“I got to take my hat off to my teammates for putting me in a position to be able to do that,” Anthony told the MSG Network when talking about how he was able to set the record.”The way we’ve been playing…the way we’ve been sharing the basketball..the way we’ve been trusting one another…you know the ball has been finding me and we’ve been playing well so I definitely got to give this to my teammates.”

While Carmelo broke the record, it may have been his teammate Tyson Chandler who had the best game. Chandler scored 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting and also had seven rebounds and five assists.

The Knicks (28-15) have now won three of their last four.

The Magic (14-31) were led by guard J.J. Redick, who had a game high 29 points in the loss.
