Dwight Howard Wishes the Lakers Were More Like the Clippers
(EL SEGUNDO, Calif.) -- The Los Angeles Lakers struggles continue to mount while the Los Angeles Clippers keep soaring. Lakers' center Dwight Howard is jealous of the Clippers' chemistry and success.
Heading into the season, the Lakers were hyped as being title contenders. Instead, the team is just 15-18 and are eleventh in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Clippers are 27-8 and are tied for the top spot in the Western Conference.
Howard wishes his team would play more like the Clippers.
"Those guys on the Clippers team, they really enjoy each other off the court and it shows," Howard said.
"It really starts off the court," Howard added. "I think you have to have that relationship and chemistry off the court for it to really blossom on the court. It takes time to develop that."
Howard is averaging just 17.3 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Those are his lowest marks since the 2006-2007 season.
