TMZ.com reports eBay has taken down all auctions for the Django Unchained figures from its site. An eBay rep says, “These [toys] were removed as they were in violation of our Offensive Materials policy.”

The figures had become something of a novelty item on eBay after National Entertainment Collectibles shut down production of the line. In one screenshot of an eBay auction posted on TMZ, a figure of Samuel L. Jackson’s character received bids as high as $200.

Following the action figures’ release, Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network called for a national boycott of the toys. Django Unchained is set against the backdrop of slavery in the 19th century.
