The top-seeded Falcons will look to end Seattle’s seven game win streak and snap their playoff losing streak of five games.

“We’re a much more mature team because of our experiences,” Falcons head coach Mike Smith said. “I think you learn from your previous experiences in the playoffs. This is a team that has been very focused from the very beginning of the season.”

Atlanta will have to stop the last remaining rookie quarterback in the playoffs, Russell Wilson, who has sparked the Seahawks this season.

“Does a very good job at running the offense,” said Smith of Wilson’s play calling.  “You have to account for him as a running back; you’re going to have to concern yourself with that.”

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan realizes the importance of this game.

“This is what you work for,” said Ryan.  “You put in all the time that you put in during the offseason to try and give yourself an opportunity to be playing this time of year.”

The Falcons offense averaged 26.2 points a game in the regular season.  Ryan passed for 4,719 yards with 26 touchdowns to lead the Falcons to the top seed in the NFC.
