(PRESTON, ID)  —   Poor air quality in Franklin County is catching the attention of state health and environmental officials. They say pollution levels in the air have become such a large problem that they’ve been forced to put a ban on open burning as well as restrictions on wood burning stoves. Authorities say a high pressure system will keep pollutants in the air through the middle of this week. Those with asthma or other breathing-related health problems are encouraged to avoid any prolonged strenuous activity outdoors.
