George Lucas Is Engaged to Longtime Girlfriend

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Star Wars creator George Lucas has become engaged to his longtime girlfriend, 43-year-old Mellody Hobson, a rep for Lucasfilm LTD confirmed to UsWeekly.
Hobson is chairperson for DreamWorks Animation and the head of an investment management firm.
The couple has been dating for seven years. A date for the wedding has not yet been made public.
It will be Hobson’s first marriage and the second time around for the 68-year-old Lucas.
The movie mogul recently sold his company Lucasfilm Ltd. to the Walt Disney Company for $4.05 billion. Disney is the parent company of ABC News.
