Holiday, Sixers Torch Knicks 97-80

SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1359253489826NBA Via Philadelphia 76ers(PHILADELPHIA) —  Jrue Holiday scored a career-high 35 points, pulled down five rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 97-80 drubbing of the New York Knicks on Saturday night.

Nick Young and Evan Turner added 20 points each for the 76ers (18-25) who jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

The 76ers shot 50.7 percent from the field while holding the Knicks to a 34 percent clip, including just 4-of-27 from deep.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks (26-15) with 25 points on 28 shots.  Amar’e Stoudemire scored 20 points off the bench.

Anthony has scored 20 or more points in 28-straight games, tying Patrick Ewing for second-most in franchise history.
