ISU Student Diagnosed with Tuberculosis
Published at | Updated at(POCATELLO, ID) — An Idaho State University student has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. The university and district health officials are working to notify any other students who may have been exposed. Administrators say the student attended classes during the fall semester and is currently receiving treatment. They say TB is unlikely to be transferred through casual contact, but rather by breathing in TB germs spread by coughing. Though seemingly rare, at least 15 cases of TB were reported in Idaho last year.
